Thread: Newbie Trackdays, need track time!

    I wouldn't say I cooked them. Plus, you have to remember autocross has a lot of tight turns at high speed and usually pushing our cars into them.

    WIth track days, if done right, you have more straighaways and less extreme turns on the front tires with less push.

    You have not gone to the BBC, but I have significantly less tire wear on six 2.5 mile runs down there than just 3-5 runs on a typical autocross. Because it is more like a track day with more staights and no 90 turns, etc.

    that makes sense. My buddy out in Chicago had them on his car and he cooked them after about 10 minutes on course.

    He's a much more aggressive/better driver than I am at this point. I'll burn up the dunlops.
