Just rumor at this point, but it seems that the US F1 may well abandon their plans and hopes of using drivers born in the USA. The current likely driver lineup is Argentine driver José María López and British driver James Rossiter.

US hasn't produced a good F1 driver in like 40 years. A real shame. NASCAR FTMFW! LOL. South America and Europe are the shit for producing F1 drivers.
My Picks would be:
(and yes, I know they are all over the place)
Drivers:
Senna; Vettel
Teams:
Virgin Racing; USF1
Engine:
Cosworth
And if F1 ever comes back to the U.S., we gotta plan a Pastelito Field Trip.

Vic, you're missing two updates:
Pedro de la Rosa for Sauber and
Jamie Alguersuari for Toro Rosso-Ferrari
